    J. Fletcher Creamer & Son, Inc. was tasked to build a brand new switching station on a green field to be named Orange Heights Switching Station.

    It is comprised of:

      • 4kV, 69kV, and 230kV systems
      • 3 story GIS Building
      • 6 transformer containment systems
      • 1 elevated poured in place 4kV switchgear platform
      • A 50 foot high precast perimeter wall
      • A 36” Diameter Jack & Bore approx. 170’ long under existing NJ Transit Train Tracks.

    There have been approximately 5,600 CY of concrete encased, 410 H Beam piles installed, 32 7’- 8’ Diameter Drilled Shaft Foundations, 1,5000 LF of duct bank installed, and 400 pieces of individual precast panels, columns, manholes, and blast walls installed, to name a few high-level tasks. Multiple Creamer trades and crews performed various tasks, working 12 hour days, 7 days a week in order to meet the client’s aggressive and tight schedule.
