Oakland Wells 5, 9, & 10 PFAS Treatment
J. Fletcher Creamer & Son, Inc. was awarded the Oakland Wells #5, 9, & 10 PFAS Treatment. The project was designed to bring the township in compliance with the new NJ PFAS regulations to ensure safe drinking water.
The project featured the installation of water filtration and treatment systems at three separate well sites. New concrete foundations were excavated, formed, reinforced, and poured to allow for the setting of six new GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) filtration vessels. Crews installed above grade flanged piping and subsurface mechanical joint piping for treatment and distribution of well water. The project also featured electrical upgrades within each well house, heat tracing and insulation of exterior piping, SCADA upgrades, and initial backwashing of treatment vessels.
