North Hudson Combined Sewer Overflow Phase 1
In December 2020, J. Fletcher Creamer & Son, Inc. began work on the North Hudson Combined Sewer Overflow Phase 1 Project in Hoboken, NJ. Creamer began its work with a large-scale test-pit program followed by the installation of two cofferdams. These cofferdams will facilitate the construction of the pretreatment area and pump station, whose concrete foundation slabs are 35 feet below grade. The three structures for which Creamer is responsible are all micropile supported. Crews have installed approximately 2,500 linear feet of new h-piles and helical piles, as well as large diameter storm sewer pipes throughout the project.
Project Quick Facts:
- 700 linear feet of sewer pipe installed
- 2,500 linear feet of piles installed
- 15,000 tons of soil disposed
- 2,000 cubic yards of concrete poured
- 360,000 pounds of rebar installed
- 50,000,000 gallons of treated water discharged
