J. Fletcher Creamer & Son, Inc. was awarded multiple contracts for civil construction and deconstruction services at the Newark Switch Rebuild Project. The project is a new 345 KV GIS Switching Station in downtown Newark that is replacing an existing 60 year old facility. Due to property acquisition delays, the project was constructed in multiple phases yet was still delivered ahead of schedule for the next phase of construction during the COVID pandemic. The final phase of work is the deconstruction of the original switching station building while preserving its basement level as a cable vault and completing the perimeter wall.
