BUILT ON THE BRIDGE THAT CONNECTS AMERICA: FROM 1923 TO TODAY

It all began in 1923 in Fort Lee, New Jersey. From a small Ford rack truck managing deliveries, Creamer has grown into one of the nation’s leading infrastructure services companies.

J. Fletcher Creamer & Son, Inc., was founded by J. Fletcher Creamer, II, with one Ford rack truck and a dream.
Year 1930s

1930s

Creamer performed site prep and excavation work to support the George Washington Bridge Construction project.
Year 1940s

1940s

Creamer persevered through WWII, closing out the war with a new fuel track and a growing customer lineup.
Year 1950s

1950s

The company expanded to include air conditioning installation and celebrated the next generation of Creamers.
Year 1960s

1960s

We founded a long-term relationship with Hackensack Water, expanded to include heavy construction, and began profit sharing with Creamer employees.
Year 1970s

1970s

Led by President Fletch Creamer Sr., the company acquired Babe’s Taxi and introduced a new logo, which was the winning design from an employee contest.
Year 1980s

1980s

We expanded our service offerings to include pipe cleaning and lining, installed synthetic turf at Giants Stadium, acquired a helicopter, relocated our a new corporate headquarters in Hackensack, and achieved recognition as the #250 largest construction firm in the U.S. by Engineering News-Record.
Year 1990s

1990s

As we took on larger and more prestigious projects, we opened an office in California, were named New Jersey’s 43rd largest privately owned firm, and completed the Route 4 & 17 flyover in record time.
Year 2000s

2000s

The 5th generation of Creamers entered the family business, and the company added services within the alternative energies market, breaking into the solar and wind sectors.
Year 2010s

2010s

Creamer was acquired by APi Group, Inc., joining its ranks of independently managed life safety, energy, specialty construction, and infrastructure companies.
